At the corner of Strauss Street and Broadway, on the city’s East Side (near The Broadway Market), sits this dandy 7604 square foot building that I consider ripe for the taking. I spoke to realtor Ryan Burke about 14 Strauss Street, who was equally enthusiastic about this little gem. We both agreed that mid-sized industrial buildings such as this are harder and harder to come by, especially in this degree of immaculate shape. Ryan told me that the seller had used the structure for storage, and had always kept it in great shape, including the roof that was redone in 2016 (the roof has a 50-year warranty), as well as a relatively new electric system (also redone in 2016).
The solid, versatile structure would be perfect as a mixed-use development, with a work-live use, or even as an art studio or workshop.
Being so close to The Broadway Market is a big plus. Not to mention a number of recent developments occurring on Broadway. And with news that an announcement is forthcoming, about naming the developer for The Central Terminal, Broadway will soon be top of everyone’s mind, and opportunities like this will be fewer and fewer.
14 Strauss Street is being listed for $279,900.
