Time To Take An Assassination Vacation?

Some people visit Buffalo to study the city’s architecture. Others visit to sample the world’s best chicken wings. I’m always interested to hear why people visit Buffalo – that’s why I was caught off guard when I read this site, which touts the best places to stay in Buffalo when on an Assassination Vacation. A What? Fans of NPR’s Sarah Vowell might be familiar with her travel memoir that delves into historical details surrounding presidential assassinations. Hotel blogger, Colleen Lindesay, has taken the idea a step further by detailing the best places to hole up while sightseeing around the city where William McKinley met his demise.

Maybe Mason Winfield’s latest Lift the Curse event has finally helped to show McKinley’s assassination in a different light. Now, let’s see where Colleen has directed those fascinated with assassinations to stay… and why. Here’s the link.
