For as long As I can remember, the second a big game pops up on the schedule, one that the Bills MUST have, they always come up short. The Raiders were not some unstoppable team like the Patriots and if there was ever a time to prove you belong in the playoff race, yesterday was it. Even when the Bills were up 24-9 in the 3rd quarter, you just knew that a little hiccup would send the lot reeling. As soon as things starting going the wrong way, Buffalo could not get out of their own way. EVERY SINGLE part of that team (including the punter and coaches) curled up in a shell and mentally boarded the flight back East.

If there was one thing that I can say with certainty, it is that Tyrod Taylor is better suited to be a running back than a Quarterback. As I have mentioned before, if we get that performance he had in Seattle, we have our franchise QB. Unfortunately, that was one game and yesterday, Tyrod’s deficiencies were on full display. He left the pocket early, did not see wide open receivers, missed the ones he did see and had absolutely no concept of how long he held the ball. If I was McCoy, I would be screaming to give another guy a shot because Shady’s talents are being totally wasted here. If Taylor was even a middle of the road type of QB, he could have won 3 more games with his eyes closed. He gets a top running game, a lot of time in the pocket and STILL can’t throw a proper football. Is not the whole job description of a QB to THROW A FOOTBALL? The Bills are the only organizations that try and re-invent the wheel. The NFL is a throwing league and unless you have the all world defense (which clearly Buffalo does not), you will fail miserably.

If I am Terry Pegula, I go straight to Whaley and say… the second this team hits 7 losses, I want you to play Jones and EJ the rest of the season. If Whaley is not up for it, he can pack his bags with Russ Brandon and get out. I am so happy that the Steelers are coming to town because the only way to beat them is with a QB that can rack up the yards in the air. If Tyrod fails again to do so, the problem is there for everyone to see. The goal is not to scrape and claw to get to 10 wins, it’s to actually build a contender. Tyrod Taylor was never meant to play for a contender.
