Work is underway on an expansion of the Michigan Street Baptist Church. The addition on the north side of the circa-1848 church will include an exhibit space, offices, restrooms, and a conference room. An historic hearth found during site investigations will be incorporated into the project.
Azar Design Co. is project architect.
Work continues across the street on the expansion and renovation of the Colored Musician’s Club (above) and reconstruction of a City-owned building at 509 Michigan Avenue (below).
