A large single-family home at 135 Nottingham Terrace was purchased for $1.55 million today, making it one of the highest residential sales in the city. The buyer, hiding behind the 135 Nottingham LLC, is getting a 7,694 sq.ft., seven bedroom, five bath house. The Colonial Revival style house was built in 1930 and is located in the Parkside West Historic District that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
The seller was Pattama Anunta. Pattama’s husband, Dr. Boonchuay Anunta, 73, was an anesthesiologist who developed and patented two life-saving devices for difficult intubations. He passed away in December at the age of 73. According to his obituary, Dr. Anunta was an attending anesthesiologist at Buffalo Anesthesia Associates, Buffalo General Hospital, Atwal Eye Care and Buffalo Ambulatory Surgical Center. He was also a clinical instructor of anesthesiology and later a clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology, both at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He also served on the board of Buffalo Anesthesia Associates. A native of Thailand, Dr. Anunta lived in the Buffalo area since 1969 and became a naturalized citizen in 1981.
