The Witches Ball, Buffalo’s best immersive Halloween experience, hosted by Buffalo Rising is back @ Statler City on Saturday, October 26 from 7 PM to 1 AM. This epic dance party, is six events in one – 6 Stages, 6 Hours, 6 ways to party; dance the night away, see your future, voyeur the macabre, and enjoy the live music.

The Witches Ball features more than 200 local artists, psychics, musicians, DJs, and performers for one night only! This year, it’s a tale of two parties: Glamour and Gore, which represents the best of everything “Halloween” – beautiful full moons, enchanting witches, howling werewolves, mysterious creatures, and all the things that go bump in the night.

When you roll up to the Genesee Street entrance of Statler City (across from the Convention Center) you will be greeted by vintage hearses, and some of Buffalo’s Best Food Trucks, including ABV. Become Buffalo famous, by posing in front of the step n’ repeat, which will automatically enter you into our virtual costume contest hosted by Adam Boyd. Photos will be taken at the event by the newest and hottest camera, the Apple iPhone 11 Pro in portrait mode, and uploaded live to our Witches Ball Facebook page. Also, be on the lookout for the Living Dead Girls, who will be recording their podcast The Living Dead Girls: A True Crime & Unsolved Mysteries Podcast and may stop you for an interview.

Our fabulous Queens of Dragdom will once again werq the courtyard stage to bring some of the world’s finest ladies to life. The Coven Dance Crew will kick the party off, after you wander through Salem 716, Hell’s Harlot’s will put a spell on you that will keep you dancing the whole night!

The Golden Ball Room will feature back-to-back musical guests, XOXO Pop Band and The Nerds Gone Wild of WNY. Extroverted-introverts might consider jamming with SE2 Silent Disco which has been tripled in size from 2018. But whatever you do, “Don’t Look in the Basement” or if you dare wander to the lower level, formerly Club Rendezvous, and see our gorey side – just watch where you step, the floor is slippery when wet!

Meander through Slashville USA, (The Terrace Ballroom) and be greeted by some great American Singing Legends. The evening will feature, DJ Crespo; A Man in Black: The Johnny Cash Experience – Andrew J. Reimers and band pay homage to the legendary singer/guitarist; The Leroy Townes Band; The Jillian Eliza Band; and The Rotten Georgia Peaches, who will play a blistering set of southern fried rock.

Our Psychic Lounge hosted by Buffalo’s own haunted story-teller, Mason Winfield, will feature Psychic Mediums, Tarot Card readers, and more. Including a special guest from the Lily Dale Assembly, Reverend Simon. His readings are blends of his spirituality and intuition. His guidance comes with healing, as well as connection to the elders. And always, he offers evidence that life continues after what we call death.

Our VIP area has been expanded, there’s a secret room only the most courageous dare to enter – the Georgian Ball room, which is fit for royalty. Just watch where you are going, we don’t want you to lose your head! The VIP lounge is located on the mezzanine level, and is open from 8 p.m. to Midnight. This year we have upgraded the experience to include an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, carving station, and dessert cart. Exclusive acts include, Rabbit Jaw; Carina and the Six String Preacher; and Fever Pitch String Quartet, featuring members of the BPO; wandering musicians will serenade your evening, as well.

Roaming our halls will also be Buffalo Aerial Dance, Showstarter’s stilt walkers and go-go dancers, as well as The infamous, International Performance Artist, Boom Boom will be joining us this year! Lucky for us, Boom Boom was swinging through town and decided to add us as a stop. Boom Boom travels the world performing, but was last in residence at Cirque Le Soir Dubai, “The UAE’s most scandalous nightclub.” Originally launched in London in 2009, Cirque le Soir has quickly become home to A-List celebrities, including the likes of Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Usher, and Lady Gaga, to name but a few.

His youtube videos have garnered hundreds of views too.

David Rafailedes is a writer and comedian based out of New York City. He has been featured on Funny or Die, the Puppy Bowl XIV and Good Morning Astoria. He is a member of the comedy group Lo-Fi NYC, co-writer and star of the play Cellino V. Barnes. He performs regularly around NYC city.

State of the City brings together a range of artists from various backgrounds and artistic practices. Each of the projects featured in this exhibition examine different cultures, communities, and stories that make up the city of Rochester. 2019 marks the return of RoCo’s State of the City exhibitions. First launched in 2008, this occasional series of exhibitions and projects brings together artists who document and explore Upstate NY cities. This class will focus on the basics of Yoga. Hatha Yoga’s literal translation is, “sun/moon” and keeping the balance of the 2. Philosophy, breathing/prana, and beginner yoga poses (asanas) will all be integrated to create a more balanced mind/body/spirit. What we practice on the mat can slowly be integrated into life I off the mat. Please bring a mat, strap/belt, towel/blanket, and yoga blocks if possible.

This class will be every other Monday for 8 sessions. $15 for each class or pay for all 8 and get one free. (Total for all 8 – $105)

Jamie was born and raised in Buffalo, NY with many childhood and adult “opportunities” which helped her look within to find her own Truth. She knew from a very young age the power of positive thinking and that in a world of chaos there was always peace and light within if we could access it.
Jamie learned the power of our thoughts and feelings manifest our reality during a difficult battle with infertility. She experienced her first of many manifestations and adopted a baby locally in only 5 months. She then conceived and has 2 beautiful girls who are 8 months apart. Camryn Faith is 12 and has Autism. She is the most joyous, loving child who rarely suffers in her world. She lives in the moment, goes with the flow of life, and accepts changes along the way. Jordyn Hope is 11 and is a wise, spiritual, old soul who shares her infinite intelligence with her Mom often. She is an incredible dancer!
Jamie is a pediatric Occupational Therapist and loves what she does! She received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in 2014 and now integrates yoga as well as her other holistic modalities in her student’s lives. She also opened her own side business, Back to Basics Therapy in 2019. Jamie has been on a learning journey and feels it is time to give back.

Junoon: A Tribute to Courage derived from Gaitrie Devi’s definition of “courage”. To her it means strength, resilience and determination. And what it has meant to her over the past year.

“A lot of it has been through the influence of my children” -Devi

The experiences and situations have given her the courage that she needed to get her family through some very rough times.

“Honestly, when I decided to produce a show this year, after just having my twin girls I thought I was over my head” -Devi

But, it was her desire to reconnect with the community and share with them something very special. It was also to show her children that focusing on your passion will give you many opportunities and open many doors.

Creating this showcase meant a lot to her. There was also a lot of learning that went into it. From trying to balance her new life as a mom of three, to having so many hours in the day but yet having no hours in the day to create and compose while juggling three kids and a household. It has been a bumpy road to say the least!

One of the pieces is a revival from her first showcase “Chandni” talks about growth after chaos; “what happened is done, the sun will rise again and you’ve been through so much pain and tears and now you will only see shine.” She took this piece and brought it back to life because it connected a lot with what she wanted this show to be about, Courage!

Participants bring their own supplies to sketch, draw, paint, write poetry, and or photograph the still life.
No instructor will be teaching. This is a creative platform to be inspired by.
Still Life workshops are 2 ½ hours in length, intended for youth 12 and older, families, college students, and creative individuals.
Free with admission fee. Free for BPAC members and for BSC students with ID.

Cindi O’Mara is a of native of Upstate New York where the love of natural forms intergraded into her work. Cindi began her studies at Sage Collage (Junior College of Albany) and Continued Studies at Nazareth College of Rochester. Studies in painting and drawing continued with several mentors and workshops. For several years she has lived and worked in Western New York.

Paula Sćiuk, a photographer native to Western New York, began refining her own visual and conceptual vocabulary at the State University New York at Buffalo State, immersed in design, painting and sculpture. Since 2007, her large-scale images have been shown in the Louvre, Paris, France; Times Square, New York City; Scope, Miami, Florida and are included in public and private collections.

About Melvin Seals & JGB:
Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. From blues to funk to rock to jazz, he serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.

Melvin Seals and JGB bring an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. John Kadlecik (Furthur, DSO, Golden Gate Wingmen) will be on lead guitar and vocal duties with John-Paul McLean’s savory bass, Pete Lavezzoli’s hearty drums and, of course, a heapin’ helpin’ of the wizard’s magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards. Along with Lady Chi and Mary-eL on backup vocals, the result is a most satisfying blend of natural organic grooves that challenge genre boundaries. Their chemistry is the focus from which they create a spontaneous and high art where the sky is the limit musically. With an extensive and amazing track record of unique and imaginative performances featuring his curious instrument and copious amounts of originality, Mike Silverman, a/k/a That1Guy, has set himself apart as a true one-of-a-kind talent that rivals any other artist currently in the entertainment industry. Averaging 150-200 shows a year all over North America and Canada, he has been a consistent favorite at such festivals as: Wakarusa, Electric Forest, Big Day out, All Good Music Festival, Bella, High Sierra Music Festival, Summer Meltdown, Montreal Jazz Festival, and many more. He was also the ʻTap Water Award’ winner at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for best musical act. His legendary collaboration and multiple tours with Buckethead performing as The Frankenstein Brothers has further cemented his virtuoso story as a creative visionary.
His innovation continues to soar with his latest tour, That1Guy & The Magic Pipe Present: An Evening of Musical Magical Wonder… The Likes of Which Ye Haven’t Yet Seen , which kicked off in 2014. Along with his pioneering main instrument, The Magic Pipe , a monstrosity of metal, strings, and electronics, he facilitates the dynamic live creation of music and magic in ways only That1Guy can conjure. You can also expect to see magic seamlessly integrated into the already clever performance. With the addition of magic in his live shows, he has legitimately achieved an all-inclusive audio/visual performance unlike anything experienced before. “So much of my music has miraculous qualities to it because it’s hard to tell what’s going on. There are lots of slights of hand and sonic misdirection. It feels like I was meant to do magic”.
Silverman’s back-story is similar to many musicians that have come before him. He grew up a self-proclaimed music geek, soaked in the influence of his jazz musician father, and enrolled in San Francisco Conservatory of Music before joining the local jazz scene himself as a sought-after percussive bassist. This is where the similarities end though and where That1Guy truly began. “In my case, being a bass player, I just felt very restricted by the instrument itself,” he says. “I’ve always wanted to sound different and have my own sound. I was headed that way on the bass, but for me to fully realize what I was hearing in my head sonically I was going to have to do it my way”. His influential and innovative double bass style eventually evolved into what we see today as That1Guy and The Magic Pipe .
As his story continues to develop, Billboard has famously noted, “In the case of Mike Silverman’s slamming, futuristic funk act… the normal rules of biology just don’t apply.” In addition, Silverman also has new music and videos in the works for 2015 that will further validate his status as an industry trailblazer. “I like being my own person”, he says. “I didn’t set out to be a weirdo, but I’m starting to embrace it”.
Ultimately, his motivation can be encapsulated as this: “Human beings do our best work when we’re challenged and pushed up against the wall”. That1Guy goes on to further explain, “By nature, we’re hunters and gatherers, spending each day looking for their next meal. It’s easy to be lazy when you don’t have to come up with something creative right away.”

About My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult:
Hailing from Chicago’s renowned Wax Trax! Records stable of recording artists, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult have been conjuring up sonic tales of sex, blasphemy and kitschy horror since 1987. Along with label mates such as Front 242, Ministry and KMFDM, Thrill Kill Kult helped develop the industrial music genre, but they themselves continued to evolve, creating one of the most diverse repertoires in modern day music. Their sound can be described as electronic rock, heavily influenced by both disco and funk, yet touches of lounge, jazz and experimental can also be found. One of their most distinctive characteristics is the use of spoken samples lifted from B-movies laced within their songs. Since debuting, they have released 14 studio albums, and their music has been featured in a variety of films, television/cable shows and soundtracks. Their live performances sizzle with sleaze and infectious grooves. Melody Maker once described it as “A red hot cabaret from Hell”.

Artist Franke Nardiello and musician Marston Daley, two Chicago neighbors who enjoyed eating late night binges watching foreign horror flicks on vhs rented from the corner liquor store, began conspiring to make a trashy B movie (in the style of Russ Meyer and John Waters) to be called My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. While the film itself never came to fruition, they also wrote an EP’s worth of music for the soundtrack. Both worked at Wax Trax! Records in Chicago, and when the label heard the tracks, they were intrigued and eager to release it.

The duo took the title of the film as the name for their band, and after the EP sold surprisingly well, they decided to focus on the group full time. Taking the stage names Groovie Mann (Nardiello) and Buzz McCoy (Daley), they worked on creating an occult-biker meets disco-rock influence look for the project, which included a bevy of voluptuous back-up singers and dancers known as the Bomb Gang Girlz. This attracted the attention of indie fans and the ire of religious groups in practically equal measure. They released their first album I See Good Spirits And I See Bad Spirits in 1988 followed up by the hard-hitting dance floor classic Kooler Than Jesus in 1989. By the time they released their second album, Confessions Of A Knife (1990), they were far and away one of the biggest selling acts on the label.

In 1991, the band embarked on the decadent Sexplosion! tour, titled after their third album. The tour was a success and the record sold so well that they signed a deal with Interscope Records shortly afterwards, and the single “Sex On Wheelz” became a sizeable radio hit. Hollywood also embraced the group, recognizing the unique cinematic aspect of their music. The band’s music has appeared in a slew of films and tv/cable shows including, director Ralph Bakshi’s ‘Cool World”, Paul Verhoven’s saucy “Showgirls”, MTV’s “Beavis And Butthead”, The Flintstones Movie, and the cult classic “The Crow”, in which they make a cameo appearance performing the song “After The Flesh”. More recently TKK was written into the story line of the 2013 film “Sexy Evil Genius” starring Seth Green and Katie Sackoff.

Thrill Kill Kult continue to release new material via their own SleazeBox Records label (sleazebox.com) and tour extensively with a rotating cast of musicians and dubious characters, however the core of the project has always been Nardiello and Daley, both on record and in the live act. To this day, TKK remain of the most innovative, experimental and controversial cult bands of their generation.

He is a prominent member of industrial supergroup PIGFACE, is a frequent collaborator with TKK having spent six years as a member of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. Mackey recently received vast press coverage for a surprise fill-in for Peter Murphy who was unable to perform at the final 40years of Bauhaus Celebration with David J. Mackey ended up singing four Bauhaus classics to a sold-out Orlando audience and was personally invited by Bauhaus, Love Rockets bass player David J to stand-in for Mr. Murphy. This has led to the development of a new collaborative project between Mackey, David J and Rona Rougeheart of Austin, TX dark electronic darlings SINE set for release in 2020.

Whether it’s lack of education or a language barrier, Buffalo is still faced with a serious literacy issue. Buffalo’s illiteracy rate is 30%; 10% higher than the national average. 63% of all U.S. jobs now require education beyond high school. Yet, nearly half of the U.S. workforce has only a high school education or less, and/or low English proficiency. This severely limits their access to jobs, college, and citizenship, and increases their vulnerability to living in poverty.

Literacy New York Buffalo-Niagara Inc., is a nonprofit and the region’s sole provider of free, one-on-one adult literacy services in Erie and Niagara counties, helping adults learn to read, write or speak English better.

This is our largest annual fundraiser and the evening will include two (2) complimentary drink tickets, heavy hors d’oeuvres, silent auction, live music and a gift certificate raffle.

Proceeds from the evening will directly benefit our adult literacy programming, which serves approximately 300 adult learners, providing them with the opportunity to succeed and the confidence to achieve their personal goals. That’s what matters.

Throughout this course, you will learn how to expand and deepen messages received from spirit that are filled with accuracy, evidence, empowerment and healing.

We will meet the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:30pm. Often the most important learning takes place in between classes, therefore there will be some homework assignments. This program includes one-on-one mentoring with Angie and opportunities for mini message days open to the public for practice. Level 1 is from October 8th until end of February. Level 2 starts in March and goes through the end of June.

Levels may be taken by anyone even if they aren’t seeking certification, however you must sign up for a complete level. Classes within levels aren’t offered separately. About The Mighty Pines:
The Mighty Pines are a soul-inspired roots rock band influenced by the wide rivers and red-brick streets of St. Louis. With soaring vocals and thoughtful composition, the two principle songwriters shift the band’s sound from catchy rock ‘n’ roll to earthy instrumentals. The Riverfront Times heralds the band as “a talented young quartet engaged in the roots and rhythms of bluegrass but mixed with a more contemporary ear for harmony and production.”

The Mighty Pines is made up of Neil Salsich (vocals, guitar), Gerard Erker (mandolin, banjo, vocals), John Hussung (bass, vocals) and Mike Murano (drums). They have released three studio albums, played hundreds of live shows across the country and shared bills with renowned acts such as JJ Grey & Mofro, The Dead South, Fruition, Sam Bush and Railroad Earth.

Just Paint
So, you say you want to paint, but the idea scares you? Well, at least that’s what many of Bruce Adams’ high school and college students have expressed over the years. That’s why he developed the “Just Paint” painting method, designed to lower anxiety while cultivating the pure joy of painting.
This is not a step-by-step-do-as-I-do process; Adams will demonstrate his method by creating a painting from start to finish (including selecting subject matter) in 45 minutes, just as he has done hundreds of times for his students and for Hallwalls’ Mid Summer’s Night Draw events. After that, you will make your own painting using the Just Paint method, an approach where there are no such thing as mistakes.
After using this method in class for years to encourage students to dive into painting without fear, Adams discovered that collectors liked what he only considered to be demos and warm-ups. So he began what he calls his Extemporal series, works that are done spontaneously. Now he will teach you how to do the same.
Will you produce a masterpiece? Maybe, but even if you don’t, you’ll have fun trying.

Bruce Adams is best known as a figurative painter who works in various painting styles. His conceptually based painting peels back the layers of meaning inherent in making and viewing art.
Formally trained in art education at Buffalo State College, Adams extended his education as an artist through his involvement in Western New York’s contemporary art scene, starting in the nineteen-eighties as director/curator of a small storefront gallery called peopleart bflo, then with Hallwalls Contemporary Art Center as an Artist Advisory Committee co-founder, long-time board member, and board president.
In addition to painting Adams’ art also includes installation and performance art. He is also an educator with teaching experience ranging from Kindergarten to graduate level college. Her has exhibited extensively locally and nationally, and his work is included in numerous private and museum collections including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Castellani Museum, UB Anderson Gallery, and Burchfield-Penney Art Center.
In 2007 Adams was given an extensive mid-career survey exhibition titled Bruce Adams, Half Life 1980-2006 at the UB Anderson Gallery. Recent projects include Untitled, exhibited at Big Orbit Gallery. Corridors Gallery, and Roz Steiner Gallery, and Myths and Lies, exhibited in the Castellani Museum. An installation by Adams was included in Play/Ground, in Medina NY.

Pink Talking Fish is a Hybrid Tribute Fusion Act that takes the music from three of the world’s most beloved bands and creates a special treat for fans of the music.

Pink Floyd, The Talking Heads and Phish are all more than just bands… they are Phenomenons. Their creations have artistically inspired people and their mind-blowing live performances have brought people together to form a special sense of community around the love for their favorite band.

Although the music from each act is different, Pink Talking Fish has discovered that fusing the material together creates an amazing story. The epic emotion of Pink Floyd…. Buffalo Arts Studio is thrilled to announce our new Community Space exhibition, The Poeta Project. Buffalo educator and poet, Karen Eckert, started The Poeta Project in response to a need she saw in high schools: students holding back creatively and giving up too easily.

Combining poetry, art, and education, this exhibition is a “call and response” between Eckerts’s poetry and work from local artists. To start, 16 poems were given to 16 different artists. They had to use the title of the poem as the title of their artwork and draw inspiration from the piece (either title, overall theme, one line, etc.) and create a work of art. In turn, they gave Eckert one original work and Eckert had to find inspiration from that (color, theme, one aspect, etc.), use their title as her title, and create a poem.

All 32 works are on display within the Buffalo Arts Studio Community Space from October 8-November 1, 2019 with a reception on M&T Fourth Friday, October 25, 2019 from 5-8pm.
The process of using each other’s medium to craft new work demonstrates the ways one can find inspiration in new sources and the value in taking risks, persevering, and ultimately learning about yourself and your practice. Eckert is using the project as a model for unit plans that educators can use to replicate the process in their schools. Through the Pollination Project grant Eckert received in November of 2018, she was able to create a website that will house the units and serve as the basis for continuing this project in the future.

Artist Statement:
This work derives from my musings on the Anthropocene, the current geological age where the most significant factor effecting environment and climate is human activity. I can’t help but wonder what we are leaving behind…what happens when the soft parts of a body fade away after death? It seems that when flesh gets consumed by the environment it is drawn up and reincorporated into new growth of new species. In that way extinction can be not only an end, but a beginning. Nature has a penchant for persistence, and I am constantly left wondering, will our species persist?

Chace Lobley
Artist Bio:
Chace began making dinosaurs around the age of 14 when he got “play clay” as a Christmas gift. When asked what he enjoys about dinosaurs he said he found an intensity about the creatures that inspired him to think about “their behavior and design – how they were made”. He also knows that his talent and creativity makes others happy, and he enjoys sharing his creative output with his friends.
Chace gravitates towards clay, but this Buffalonian has a natural ability and understanding of almost every material introduced to him. He has created excellent sculptures and drawings with many materials such as tissue paper, linoleum block prints, and charcoal. His interests extend beyond dinosaurs to mythical beasts, monsters, and cartoons as well.
After having the opportunity to work with Squeaky Wheel Media Center to create a stop-motion animation featuring the Loch Ness monster, Chace would like to do another animation. Furthermore, he would like to someday teach children all he knows about dinosaurs.

About Starlight:
Starlight Studio and Art Gallery is a cooperative environment that supports adults with disabilities in their artistic development. Through technical assistance by professional artists, on-site and off-site exhibitions and other opportunities for representation and sales, the Starlight artists hone their artistic interests, become stronger advocates and better integrated citizens.
Starlight Studio and Art Gallery opened as a day habilitation program by the Learning Disabilities Association of Western New York (LDA of WNY) in August 2005 with funds from the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities. Starlight is modeled after a dynamic art program in California that was observed by an LDA staff member when he lived and worked in that area. An art lover himself, Marc Hennig was determined to bring this effective model to the artistic people with disabilities in Western New York.

Green Buffalo Productions (GBP) is bringing back their Spooky One-Act Play Festival this October with a fresh program filled with Halloween-themed plays. This 2nd annual fundraising event will return to the University Heights Community Laboratory (the CoLab) on 9 West Northrup Place and will feature local playwrights, actors, and directors.

The six pieces will be directed by GBP veterans Leyla Gentil, Zack Hatrick, and Emma Tryon. According to Co-Founder Ellen Scherer, “When the time came to choose directors for Spooky, we found this was the easiest decision we’ve ever made. Leyla, Zack, and Emma bring great ideas to the table. They work hard and have a dedication to their craft as well as to Green Buffalo Productions. It’s an absolute pleasure to have them on our team.”

Returning playwright and founder of Rochester Spoken Word Scott Seifritz is excited to get back to work with GBP: “I’m a huge fan of Green Buffalo Productions and what they’re doing…They are a huge asset to the Buffalo community and to all of Western NY as well. If you haven’t attended one of their events or otherwise engaged their services, you’re missing out on something special!” GBP is thrilled to have Seifritz as well as Justin Pope and j. Snodgrass on board again this year. Emily Bystrak, David Goddard, and Justin Karcher are also excited to debut new work with the company.

The 2nd Annual Spooky One-Act Play Festival was developed as a fundraiser for Green Buffalo Productions’ 2019-2020 Season. There will be items available for raffle; raffle tickets can be purchased via cash or Venmo.

Tickets for the 2nd Annual Spooky One-Act Play Festival are $15 per person and can be purchased online via Brown Paper Tickets at gbpspooky19.bpt.me starting October 1, 2019. The show will begin at 7:30 pm on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 with doors opening at 7:00 pm.

Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door while they last. The event was so popular last year that producers Ellen Scherer and Madison Sedlor decided to add a second night of performances. “We had people knocking on the door in the middle of the show to get in,” admitted Sedlor. Buying your tickets ahead of time is the best way to ensure you get a great seat!

The dreadful demise of Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers in Romeo & Juliet and the unrestrained passion of his Othello are arguably eclipsed by this rarely revived 17th Century Jacobean drama. ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore is a tale of forbidden love, deception and gruesome revenge that will provoke the mind and disquiet the heart as Annabella and Giovanni risk all by consummating their love in defiance of society, the law and the Church. In this world rife with corruption, greed and misogyny, who will bear the blame, and who will pay the price?

Amria is an acoustic guitar duo comprised of Chris LoTempio and Mike O’Donnell. We’ve been playing together since college when we were in a rock band together, but started this project 2 years ago. We write all our own songs, drawing on influences from Jazz, Gypsy, Latin, and Classical styles. We have a high energy and (mostly) high tempo delivery thanks to our younger rock n’ roll days but still try to capture the nuance of Jazz and Flamenco. We would fit on a playlist with Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Django Reinhart, or Al Di Meola.
