Open your wallet and your eyes. On July 19, Michael Donnelly Interior Design and 20th Century Finest are bringing historical Buffalo art to the public. All of the pieces in this show, mostly paintings and prints, have been created in the Queen City by local artists that have thrived in and supported the community between 1900 and 1985. A few of the pieces available were done by artists such as Charles Burchfield, Virginia Cuthbert, Alex, Levy, Kevin O’Callahan, Martha Visser’t Hooft, James Vullo and others. Every painting or print shown is available for purchase. They will be displayed above the furniture in order to enhance the look of the showroom but also to give the public a preview of what the item may look like in their own home.
This is a great opportunity for new and existing collectors to view and purchase pieces that are normally very difficult to find. Both companies are encouraging the public to participate in the one-evening-only event, as the acknowledged artists have all played a significant role in our community. Dean Brownrout, Owner of 20th Century Finest, said “We want to expose and educate people in the area to the rich visual art history of Buffalo.”
20th Century Finest is a Buffalo based Company that buys, sells and trades fine art. It made perfect sense to team up with Interior designer Micheal Donnelly for an event that is meant to get these sought after pieces out the door and onto your wall.
Doors are open to the public with refreshments available and the reception set to begin at 5:30 PM.
