We don’t know what it is either, but if it doesn’t involve a certain aunt and uncle at the Christmas dinner table, we don’t care. We’re in!
Squeaky Wheel has too much Christmas fun planned, including a live magic show with real white doves and bunnies, by local magicians Mike Baron & Annie.
Next, generate the ultimate Christmas disaster (with none of those pesky
life-changing side effects) using the Christmas Disaster Generator by Jason
Nelson.
After that, watch a short screening of holiday inspired videos and performances
from local media artists (Carolyn Tennant & J.T. Rinker, Kyle Butler
& Scott Reis, Neil Terry & Anna Scime, Ellen Lake, Julie Perini, Jody
Lafond, Jan Nagle and more). There will also be artwork by Stephanie Faye & Paul
Massaro, and a sneak a peak into the newest and craziest Santalope video
installation by Andrew K. Erdos on view in Squeaky’s Upstairs Installation
Gallery.
Squeaky promises, “All of your
last minute shopping woes will be relieved at the grandiose gift auction and
raffle, overflowing with groovy goodness from Buffalo’s thriving local arts and
culture scene. You can also buy up beautiful and bedazzling jewelry for your
loved ones from local handmade vendors Lily Pickford (Jewelry Design by Jan
Nagle), Dana Saylor Design, and Tamaran Designs knit & crochet wear.”
You want more? Be sure to stick around for a visit by the REAL Santa Claus
(performances by Brian Milbrand & Holly Johnson) and possibly one of his
very special (and by special, we mean deranged) guests. Make sure you bring a
camera; this may be your last chance to come up with some eyebrow-raising
stories to tell your long-lost relatives at the holiday feasting table!
Did we mention Squeaky’s claim of the possibility of winning up to ONE BILLION DOLLARS in the 50/50 raffle? That’s what they they say…
