This is a tough time of the year; short days, brutal cold, flat hair……..ugh!
It was around this time, many years ago, that a few friends and I decided we need something “fun” to do. Four of the six of us, sitting at the table that night, happened to be born under the sign of Aquarius!
Voila!!!!
A tradition was born… YES! It’s that time again…….
Buffalo’s 3rd Annual Aquarius Birthday Party!!!
A time for ALL you fabulous Aquarians to gather together & do what we do best; have a party! What started out with the winter doldrums of boredom has become an annual event!
Now some of you BRO readers not born between Jan 21st-Feb 19th may be thinking, “Wow! I wish I were an Aquarian so I could attend this fabulous event;” not to worry! We welcome ALL SIGNS as FOAs, Friends Of Aquarius! This year’s festivities will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at the very groovy Shadow Lounge (1504 Hertel Ave). Come join us for a night of fun & festivities.
As a bit of a sidebar; for longer than I care to acknowledge, I’ve begun my day with a few of my favorite online astrology sites. I’m happy to share them with the BRO readers. My “toolbar” includes:
NYPost: ALL “creatives” in New York begin their day this way!
Jonathan Cainer: solid, informative
WAPO: (The Washington Post!)
UB Graduate Eric Francis is the protégé’ of one of my all time favorite astrologers, the legendary Patrick Walker, who no longer dwells here but seems to channel through Eric.
The sites are endless. Some are just for “fun” but some are extremely accurate. There are sites that can compute a “natal” (birth) chart and an annual “progressive” (where your planets are now) chart. They vary in depth and price. Many will send you your charts in PDF format so you can print it out or just refer back to it.
Here’s a good place to get started if you happen to know your birth time, date & location
Michael Lutin’s site “Where’s The Moon?” is a little scary sometimes, but always interesting.Don’t miss his sobering Vanity Fair piece on Pluto in Capricorn here
Susan Miller is usually a bit more upbeat & also very interesting.
And if you’ve been “lookin’ for love in all the wrong places, this site may be right up your alley. Look under “astrology.”
So join us in celebrating the 3rd Annual Aquarius Birthday Party. And remember, Aquarians, we’re not getting older, we’re getting bitter…….er, I mean BETTER!
We look forward to seeing you all!
