After the overwhelming feedback from our first episode of the “Building Buffalo Podcast: Around the world of Buffalo, with Frits Abell,” Newell Nussbaumer and Frits decided to continue their exploration of Buffalo’s transformation and growth.
Introducing, the “Buffalo…..who knew?” podcast series which aims to highlight the (often under appreciated, sometimes unearthed) assets of Buffalo–particularly as it relates to the built and natural environment. It reveals up-and-coming projects, checks in on those that are already underway, and discusses some of the barriers that may impede their forward movement.
Our guest on this inaugural episode is Paris Roselli, a Buffalo native who grew up experiencing the decline of Western New York’s industrial economy. Currently, Paris is the President of the Richardson Olmsted Campus and the Lipsey Architecture Center Buffalo. He holds a BA in International Relations and a BA in Spanish Language from Canisius College. Paris has been involved in community organizations since the early 1990s, including 43North, CEPA Gallery Director and North Buffalo representative for Buffalo’s Comprehensive Plan ‘Queen City in the 21st Century.’
Newell Nussbaumer: Co-Founder of Buffalo Rising, a passionate advocate for Buffalo’s resurgence.
Frits Abell: Preservationist, dreamer and doer, businessperson, urbanist, and CEO of materialsIN.
