On January 27, 2015, from 6:00-9:00pm, the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens will come to life with the lights of Lumagination (powered by www.luminatedlandscapes.com). Lumagination is a choreographed lighting and sound experience that must be seen to be believed. Visitors will be greeted with themed rooms such as Space Odyssey, which will be filled with black light and fog. Another room will contain neon reflective bubbles that will fall from the ceiling – the colors can be changed via cellphones from the people standing in the room. The Moroccan Dessert room will transport you to a truly bizarre dessert scape, while the Zen Orb room will be filled with crazy, lit, colorful interactive orbs.
Of course many of the favorite flower and plant scapes will also be present, including The Wegmans Family Garden, which will be full of butterflies! Then it’s on to the Orchid Fairy House and the crazy Magic Disco Room, filled with an array of sounds, lights, and interactive screens. Finally guests will be led through a “thunderstorm of powerful rain and flashes of lightning”, as if the rest of the show was not enough.
This is a fascinating show that will be well received by the entire family.
