Launch Issues – Update on New Site

Since the launch of the new site on Friday, we’ve already identified some issues we’re working to resolve.


First, a number of people have not received their registration confirmation emails. We believe this is a result of ISP spam-blocking filters which are preventing the registration confirmation emails from getting to accounts. In some cases, the emails are going to people’s spam folder so we’d encourage you to check your spam folder if you haven’t received your registration confirmation email. In other instances, the confirmation email has been blocked by the ISP in which case users haven’t even received the email in their spam folder.

The New Buffalo Rising – It’s Alive!

We’re happy to launch the new buffalorising.com.

As we mentioned in previous posts, we built the new site to be faster and accommodate more content. The design is a departure from the last version of Buffalo Rising and we hope our readers like it.

There are some technical things you should know as you start to use the site. First, as we’ve migrated to a new publishing platform, all the registered users will need to re-register to be able to comment and use the site’s functionality. If you have a username you’ve used for an extended period of time, we encourage you to re-register the name as quickly as possible if you’d like to maintain your identity. We tried to avoid this re-registration but it wasn’t possible.
