August 18th marks the fifth annual Carly’s Crossing Open Water Swim. This event takes place every year to benefit Carly’s Club for Kids and Pediatric cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Last year, 325 swimmers raised over $100,000 for the foundation. The Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences plans to announce a new CEO on Monday July 23rd at 10AM in a press conference. The new CEO has the responsibility of overseeing the Buffalo Museum of Science, Tift Nature Preserve, Elmwood Science Spot, and the Hiscock Site. The Buffalo Society of Natural Science is focused on increasing the scientific literacy and the respect for our environment through these public venues.
