Last night’s open forum meeting for citizen input on the Niagara Greenway program, held at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society, was a proper, dignified and true town meeting in all sense of the meaning. You may have read Friday’s Buffalo News: “The Niagara Power Coalition says its members will vote against a sweeping plan to remake the riverfront from Buffalo to Youngstown.” Two counties are attempting to split this pie and forge ahead to reinvent the future riverfront ,Aei Erie and Niagara. Niagara’s 13 municipalities want to diversify the funds to multiple non-riverfront needs, while Erie County is basically in favor of a true riverfront pursuit. You can catch Wednesday’s Lou Dobbs’ pre-scripted Town Hall meeting at Asbury Church in Buffalo tonight, Thursday, December 7, at 7 pm, on CNN. It was uncanny. There wasn’t anything in the script-process other than introducing strictly pre-selected questioners that fit Lou Dobb’s erroneous views about Buffalo.
