Don’t get me wrong, this was a great win, but this is a game the Bills SHOULD have won. If it was a healthy Garappolo, I would have said the Bills would have had a tough time pulling this one out in the end. Facing a 3rd string QB (with a thumb issue), you absolutely HAVE to come out of Foxboro with a victory. The second I heard that Brissett was starting, my whole attitude changed on this game. You don’t pay your head coach (who is supposed to be a defensive guru) over 5 million dollars to lose to…

Let’s give credit where credit is due. If there was ever an us against the world attitude going on, it took place with the Bills game and nobody giving them a chance to pull off a victory vs Arizona. You would have thought that Tyrod would have had to throw for 300 and a few TDs but no, a ferocious defense and a miraculous turnaround from the O-Line made it possible. I have to say, the score does not even indicate how one-sided this game looked from the stands. If Jerry Hughes had not committed that personal foul before the…

Anyone who was thinking that it could not get any worse than week one has not been watching Buffalo Bills football for very long. It looked like the defense got a little jealous of the offense and all the headlines they got from being so ill prepared a week ago. Fast forward to week 2 and the Bills have turned into a full blown train wreck on both sides of the ball. It has become quite clear that Tyrod Taylor will not be seeing the end of his contract and the search for the franchise QB continues. With the Cardinals…

The fact that Rex Ryan actually said that Buffalo “won the offseason” is both hilarious and terribly depressing. Bills fans should know that the only time hope exists is during the offseason and that the second the regular season starts, it all goes downhill.  The defense played admirably but in a league where high powered offenses rule the day (yes there are a couple of exceptions), the Bills once again seem to be lost in the dark ages. Unless you have a defense like Denver last year (and Buffalo certainly does not), you better make sure that you are throwing…

Let’s put aside the actual players that Buffalo drafted for a moment and give praise to Terry Pegula and the city of Buffalo for pulling off an amazing weekend by the waterfront. As one executive from another NHL team (who chose to remain anonymous for fear of upsetting previous hosts) said “From top to bottom, everything about this year has been top notch. Compared to Florida last year, the layout and ease of access has been night and day.” Buffalo better get used to being the center of the hockey universe more often because players and team executives alike have…

Well, the draft has come and gone and I have to say, is there anyone who could possibly be upset at what the front office accomplished with their picks? Yes, Rex and Co had a rough go of it last year but I believe that fans are really going to see what a Ryan defense is supposed to look like this season. When I saw Shaq Lawson still there at number 19, it was hard to believe. I had visions of passing over Brian Orakpo years ago and was just waiting for the Bills to pick some RB instead. Then,…

I will be the first one to admit that I didn’t realize how badly I wanted the Bills to win that game until seeing the sea of green in that stadium yesterday. After such a disappointing season, it was important to come away from that game with a little more hope heading into next year. Yes, it ALWAYS seems as though “next year” is always the year. I am not willing to go that far, but I DO think continuity is going to be important. I want  to see if Rex Ryan and Co can actually get the job done…

The temperature was in the 40s and there was no sign of the rain coming to an end. As I looked around the main parking lot at 9am, I had zero doubt that Buffalo has the best fans in the NFL. If there was ever a day to stay at home and watch this one on TV, this was it. Dallas was missing their key starters, neither team was playing for anything and the weather was certainly not conducive for tailgating. None of that stopped the weekend warriors from showing up, filling the lots and having a great time despite…

First  of all, I want to commend anybody out there who actually kept watching this game after they fell behind 21-0. The only thought that I had throughout the day was “Man, I wish Terry Pegula was sitting next to me right now.” An embarrassment of riches… yes, that is exactly what this defense has turned out to be. These guys are so overpaid, and for them to think that it’s ok to mail it in on the most loyal fans around is a total disgrace.  It makes me sick to my stomach. Last week I wrote about apathy, but…

I am not going to waste anyone’s time writing about the same mistakes that take place week in and week out with this team. If you want that summary, just read any article that has been written over the last 15 years. I had a chance to watch ESPNs 30 for 30 on the Four Falls of Buffalo Saturday night and it reminded me of how special that team really was. I then started thinking about the disconnect between this current team and the fans. To be perfectly honest with you, I can’t stand the players on this team. It…
