Buffalo’s favorite cosmic cowboys, The Steam Donkeys, join forces with Sun of Memphis for a marathon roots-rock hoedown tonight at Nietzsche’s, 248 Allen Street. The fun starts at 6 p.m. with a twilight performance by Sun of Memphis, known for their revved-up, high-octane renditions of vintage American rock n’ roll songs. The West Village Renaissance Group is spearheading efforts to raise money for the families of two Buffalo Police officers who were shot and critically wounded earlier this week during an altercation near the corners of Chippewa Street and South Elmwood Avenue.
