This weekend, June 2nd n 4th, is the Hellenic Festival. The festival is a Buffalo tradition that is in its 29th year and takes place on the corner of West Utica and Delaware Avenue. It is renowned as a fun weekend full of dancing, eating, and experiencing the rich Greek culture. On hand at the festival will be delicious dishes such as souvlaki, gyros, lamb on a spit, flaming cheese, loukoumades (fried dough balls), baklava, and many other Greek delicacies. The New Phoenix Theatre is the perfect setting to experience Connor McPhersonis play, iThe Good Thief.i The unassuming venue is very intimate and quaint. The Buffalo Companion Animal Network (CAN) will hold a Collectibles Festival featuring dolls, toys, and stuffed bears on Saturday, October 22, from 11 AM until 5 PM.
