Bill runs Seven Seas Sailing school, and is a staunch waterfront activist. He is also heavily involved with preserving, maintaining, and promoting the South Buffalo Lighthouse. When Bill first started writing for Buffalo Rising, he wrote an article a day for 365 days - each article coincided with a significant historic event that happened in Buffalo on that same day.

Buffalo Waterfront Allianceis (BWA) first meeting of The Winter Series took place last night at the CPO CLUB on Porter Avenue on the waterfront. For those interested in attending future meetings, mark the first Wednesday of the month to reconvene and discuss. The meetings take place from 6-7 pm at the CPO Club, located at the foot of Porter (next to the Buffalo Yacht Club), and are open to everyone. Hey! Join us on our Buffalo Waterfront shoreline hike today (Saturday 30th) at noon. We’re going to take a first hand look at the white marble stone pieces that dot the waterfront at the Outer Harbor. They were discarded there some years back when factions tore down the St Joseph’s Cathedral on Delaware. The carved pieces are absolute works of art – just disheveled and strewn along the shore. Something could be done with these to develop a Stonehenge effect along the Outer Harbor – something better than their current predicament as shore bolster. So join us for our hiking…
