Legend has it that the weather always rocks for the Allentown Art Festival, and this year is no exception. Although I enjoyed the whole festival, the part I enjoy the most is West of Elmwood (Allen West), what used to be part of the underground Allentown festival. The focus here is not on the out-of-towners coming to Buffalo and selling their wares, but more local artists, musicians and entrepreneurs. Stanford Lipsey’s career goes further than newspapers; the publisher of The Buffalo News will have his artwork exhibited in the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.  The exhibition, Affinity of Form: Photographs by Stanford Lipsey, is a collection of 27 of Lipsey’s large-scale photographs, all of which were taken throughout the past several years.  The works can also be found in his recently published book, Affinity of Form, along with a wide array of additional images.The exhibition opens in the Albright’s Collectors Gallery starting on Friday, June 26th, and will continue until Sunday, August 16th.  On the opening day of the exhibition, Lipsey will present an illustrated…
