If you’re a teacher, or a nurturer by nature, and you’ve been looking to get involved with promoting literacy initiatives in Buffalo, then you should consider lending a hand at Dog Ears Bookstore. Dog Ears is will be hosting an “informative and exploratory” public session on Tuesday, March 21, to ask educators about the types of programs and initiatives that they would like to see introduced, with intentions to strengthen and promote literacy in Buffalo.
“Some ideas we are looking to fill our schedule with are kids programs, book clubs, story telling, computers for all ages, book-based meetings and any literacy or literature ideas you may have,” said Dog Ears Director Thomas McDonnell. “Come be part of something big, positive and exciting!”
To discuss how to serve all members of our community in a positive, educational and imaginative way.
Dog Ears is a nonprofit community bookstore with a mission to educate through various grassroots modes. Current and retired teachers and educators are encouraged to help play a role in developing creative programming that can be rolled out as part of the bookstore’s push to promote literacy in the broader community.
