Mitchell Grosofsky, the illustrator who produced the local coloring book titled Welcome to Buffalo: The Coloring Book, has released his second work. This time Mitchell is concentrating on this city as a culinary hotbed. His new book, titled Bites Around Buffalo: The Coloring Book, was created for “food fanatics”.
These days, it’s not just the kids who are coloring in these types of books. Adults are getting into the action too. That’s one of the reasons that Mitchell opted to head in the food direction. Everyone loves to eat in this city, and these days there is a world of culinary delights that await. The book covers 30 of Buffalo’s hottest restaurants, as well as the dishes that made them popular. Local restaurants that made the cut include:
Amy’s Place, Anchor Bar, Anderson’s Frozen Custard, Bar Bill Tavern, Betty’s, Bocce Club Pizza, Chef’s Restaurant, Danny’s Restaurant, Duff’s Famous Wings, Grover’s Bar and Grill, Jim’s Steakout, Lloyd’s Taco Truck, Paula’s Donuts, Salvatore’s Italian Gardens Restaurant, and Ted’s Hot Dogs.
Mitchell just picked up the coloring books yesterday, meaning that they are officially available – hot off the presses. “The idea for Bites was around during the making of my first book but wasn’t started until after the first was published,” said Mitchell.
Books are $14.99 and can be found on this etsy page, and on Amazon. Locally, Bites will also be available at the BFLO Gallery and Gift Shop as well as local Wegmans stores.
