If you’ve been looking to get familiar with the waterfront, up close and personal, then there’s no better way to do that than with a guided tour. Tours are great for those who are hoping to get away from the madding crowds. There are so many aquatic channels to explore, from Buffalo’s waterfront to Niagara Falls. Along with the stunning visuals, there is a fascinating environmental history attached to each and every waterway.
Each year, Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper offers a number of regional paddle tours, as well as a few bike tours. The guided tours give people a first hand look at some of the greatest natural assets that this region possesses. The tours also offer an inside look into this area’s recent environmental successes. For those who are interested in taking in more than a paddle, Riverkeeper provides actual guided tours of our surroundings:
- Years of experience
- A mobile fleet of kayaks
- ACA certified kayak trainers
- Safety equipment for all participants
- Rich paddling tours to paddlers of all experience levels
- Many unique waterways around Western New York
- Rental kayaks are available. Participants may also bring their own kayaks
Advance registration is required, and all ticket sales support the efforts of Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper to protect clean water in our region. More details, maps and registration information for all the programs below are listed on this website: www.bnriverkeeper.org/rivertours.
