The countdown has begun. Canalside will be premiering it silo light show spectacular on Wednesday, November 4, from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. That’s when they will flip the switch on the projectors, illuminating the Connecting Terminal Grain Elevator at the Outer Harbor in the process.
Following is the event schedule that goes along with the lighting:
The celebration will feature (times are approximate):
• 5:00 pm: live jazz music from Buffalo’s own Gruvology
• 6:00 pm: A brief performance from David Butler’s “Grain Dances, Steel Floats”- which tells the story of Buffalo’s history as the world’s largest grain port
• 6:30 pm: Illumination
• 6:30-9:00 pm: Live music while spectators immerse themselves in the light display: featuring 4 sequences that last approximately 20 minutes each (the light display will remain lit until 11:00 pm)
• Food trucks
• Beverages: including beer, wine, and Canalside’s signature “Illuminated Prosecco”
