BOSCHE LLC, an entity tied to Greenleaf & Company, is making further progress on its $5.8 million redevelopment of the Bosche Building at 918 Main Street and an adjacent building at 916 Main. New windows are being installed on the detailed late-nineteenth century façades, and build-out of the interior continues. Carmina Wood Morris designed the project.
Twenty-three market-rate apartments and 2,000 sq.ft. of retail space are planned. The properties are located in the Allentown Historic Preservation District at the edge of the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
The circa-1891, Bosche Building had been vacant for two decades and was stabilized using State funding. It was designed by Cyrus K. Porter & Son and originally served as a showroom and offices for carriage maker Robert C. & Charles C. Bosche. Greenleaf owned the three-story building at 916 Main and purchased the Bosche from the City last August for $28,000.
The project is scheduled for completion this fall.
