A beat-up but handsome apartment building at the southeast corner of Niagara and Potomac Avenue has a new owner. 623 West LLC purchased 1469 Niagara Street and a vacant lot at 41 Potomac Avenue yesterday from HUSR Realty.
623 West paid $130,000 for the 8,400 sq.ft. building that contains seven apartments and a small commercial storefront. The LLC is registered to an Amherst residence owned by one of the principals of Regency Builders, Kevin Myszka.
1469 Niagara Street is directly across the street from the $6 million Crescendo project that is also being undertaken by a primarily suburban builder. The Crescendo will feature 41 one and two-bedroom rental units, indoor secure parking, a rooftop patio, and 4,500 sq.ft. of commercial space. Angelo Natale, Bobby Corrao, Frank Parisi and Carl Savarino are spearheading the project, Natale Development is serving as the developer and construction manager, and Carmina Wood Morris is architect.
