Sinatra & Company Real Estate has added to its properties in the Main and Ferry area. Sinatra’s 1501 Main Group LLC purchased 1499 Main Street from Equity Trust Co./R Cash Cunningham on Friday for $525,000. The two-story, 15,713 sq.ft. building is the tenth property Sinatra has bought near Main and Ferry since 2011.
Plans for the circa-1905 property are unknown but Sinatra & Company signs are already up on the building (below right). The site was occupied by Ad Art Color Process (below left) until it was purchased by DKM Sales in 2013 and its employees relocated to DKM’s offices at 1352 Genesee Street.
Sinatra has spent nearly $2 million on property acquisitions on the block. The first purchase was 1514 Main Street and 939/945 W. Ferry Street in 2011 for $700,000.
In March 2012 Sinatra purchased 1516 and 1526 Main Street for $380,000 and 1524 Main for $75,000. 1487 Main Street and 16-24 Woodlawn Avenue were purchased in December 2012 for $825,000. That one-story building is occupied by Child & Adolescent Treatment Services.
Renovations have been completed on two of the buildings in what Sinatra has named Fenton Village. The Fenton Hotel at 945 W. Ferry Street, constructed to accommodate guests attending the Pan Am Exposition in 1901, contains 23 apartments. The three-story building at 1526 Main Street contains eight loft apartments and commercial space. In recent weeks renovation work has started on a third building located at 1524 Main Street that will contain additional apartments and commercial space.
