Gateway-Longview Foundation and Buffalo Iron Works have announced the 7th Annual BBQ & Blues Bash on Friday, June 19 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Illinois Street in the Historic Cobblestone District. WIVB News 4 Wake Up! personality Lauren Hall and 97 Rock’s DJ Dave Jickster will emcee the event. Proceeds benefit over 3,600 Western New York children and families receiving support from Gateway-Longview, an agency focused on community, educational and residential services for youth.
Over 1,000 music enthusiasts from across Western New York will eat, drink, and enjoy the best talent Buffalo has to offer during the region’s premier blues event. The outdoor concert and barbecue food-fest will feature an all-local blues lineup, including Dive House Union, The Hayden Fogle Band, and The Jony James Band, followed by Randle & the Late Night Scandals who will headline the official after-party at Buffalo Iron Works (49 Illinois Street, Buffalo). Award-winning barbecue is provided by local favorites Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, Fat Bob’s Smokehouse, and Big Belly BarBeQue. Western New York favorites Fairy Cakes Cupcakery and Sweet Melody’s Gelato will provide one-of-a-kind desserts.
“This is an opportunity for the Buffalo community to show their support for our youth and to have a great time embracing all that our region has to offer,” said Sam Savarino, President of Savarino Companies and Event Chair. “Local food, local talent, local people getting behind local kids – that’s what Buffalo’s all about; it’s what makes us great.”
Festivities will take place rain or shine. Free parking will be available in the First Niagara Center ramp. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs for the first come first serve seating area. The 21+ event is sponsored by Buffalo.com, The Bonadio Group, Every Child Ministry, John W. Danforth, Merchants Insurance Group, Personal Touch Food Service, and Try-It Distributing.
Sponsorship packages are still available with all proceeds benefiting the Gateway-Longview Foundation, which directly impacts Western New York children and families served by the agency.
Tickets are on sale now for $20 presale or $25 at the event. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at www.BBQBluesBash.com or at Buffalo Iron Works. Ticket price includes entertainment and refreshments from Labatt and other local distributors. Food tickets sold separately at the event.
Gateway-Longview, Inc. is a non-profit agency that has been providing care, counseling, and support to countless children and families since 1890. It currently serves approximately 3,600 children annually from across Western and Central New York every day through 18 different programs.
