There’s never been a better time to smooch than on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 2:00pm – 6:00pm. That’s because The Kissing Museum in Buffalo NY is hosting an event called Mistletoe-ing. The day is devoted to those who like to pucker up, and are looking for a good excuse to do so in public.
Join a number of romantics, as they meander over to Bidwell Parkway to make out under the mistletoe. Bring a person that you fancy, or wait for someone to walk under the tree that looks like he or she could use a good tongue twisting.
“Mistletoe is a symbol of Goodwill, Peace, Longevity and Prosperity and as protection against evils spirits–often used at the New Year because of its evergreen characteristics. It’s another one of those wacky New Year’s traditions to absorb as much luck as possible.” – The Kissing Museum
Yes, there is a “Smooching Tree” in Bidwell Parkway that is calling your name. Anyone who shows up for a lip planting will be treated to hot mint tea or cider. At 3pm, the curator of the museum, Caesandra N Seawell, will be available for a meet and greet. At that time, you can learn how a photo of your favorite lip lock might be archived into the collection at Buffalo’s Kissing Museum.
