The Bavarian Nut Company is coming to Elmwood Avenue. The company is opening in the former Dandy Candy/Karl storefront, in close proximity to The Lexington Co-op, Taste of Siam, and Bureau Clothing. According to their website, the business has been around since 1994, specializing in nut roasting. With a modest start in a basement and a single German copper kettle roaster at their disposal, today the business has grown significantly online as well as servicing commercial accounts including restaurants and taverns.
To mix it up a little bit, the Elmwood outlet will also be selling macaroons and bubble tea. As for the nuts and such, customers will find a wide assortment, including almonds, pecans, cashews, pistachios, peanuts, walnuts, trail mix, and combo mixes. The Bavarian Nut Company is based out of Clarence. The spot on Elmwood will be their second permanent location.
