On Thursday, November 11, the Buffalo LUNA Chix run team (about team) will be setting aside their running shoes for the evening and gathering women in the community at Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center for the 10th annual LUNAFEST Film Festival.
LUNAFEST, which began in 2000 with a single event, is now a national touring festival that features short films directed by women that bring to light the issues affecting women every day. The festival promotes female filmmakers and seeks to spark conversation amongst women about the issues that these films present.
This year’s festival will feature ten films, varying from animated shorts to true life stories. Some are funny, some are heart-wrenching. All will focus on the lives of women. These are the films that will be featured at this year’s LUNAFEST:
