JP Gillespie, co-owner of Sunday Skate and BMX, was recently asked to submit an article to Skateboarder Magazine on the skate scene here in Buffalo. JP told me that the opportunity to showcase Buffalo as a skate-friendly city in a national publication was very cool (see article). Buffalo was featured in both print and on-line… the best places to skate, eat, hang, skateshops, skateparks, and nightlife. “It’s nice to know that you don’t have to explain to people anymore that Buffalo has a great skate community,” JP told me. “Now we get phone calls from people asking us to showcase the city – there are a lot of great skaters coming out of Buffalo who represent this city as a place to skate.” From the Sunday Skate website:
“If you’re familiar with skateboarder magazine, you know that they select some of the best cities in the world and write about skatespots, people, and shops in the area. Buffalo was chosen for the current issue, which is on sale now. If you don’t get a chance to pick it up from a grocery store, or a book store… check out Skateboard Magazine Online” – JP
