For the most part, Buffalonians love the four seasons. Why? Well, sometimes it’s best to leave it to a video that shows just how beautiful each season can be. One particular video that I have in mind was produced by James Grimaldi. The video features aspects of Buffalo at different times of the year. What is even more spectacular is the way that James has managed to transition the shots, capturing a summer scene that suddenly turns into a snowy landscape. It’s hard to imagine how James managed to capture the metamorphosis to such a degree, especially since much of the work was done using his own insightful guidelines.
“I have been doing these for the past couple of years and they’ve just been piling up,” said Grimaldi. “I’m putting more into a longer version together with but all four seasons per shot. There is a technical way to ‘record your flight path’ with these drones but for most of them I have been just eyeballing it. We are absolutely blessed here in WNY with our lake effect machine – a big chunk of our planet’s population does not see snow at all.”
Looking at some of Grimaldi’s other videos, one gets a sense that this guy loves snow more than the average bear. He looks at it in ways that most people don’t. To prove that point, take a look at this other mind-blowing video titled Time-Lapse: 28 inches of snow in 4 HOURS!
