A feature film launch party and Fundraiser will be hosted by Gypsy Bohemian Grove Bar (GBGB) located in the EXPO Market, in support of award-winning film maker and Buffalo native Addison Henderson.
Henderson is currently securing funding and sponsorship for his latest film project, G.O.D., which is scheduled to begin shooting in Buffalo, early 2019. The Fundraiser will be held on Thursday, January 31 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at GBGB, 617 Main St, Buffalo, New York. Tickets are $100 and include 4 hours of open bar, food, entry into a raffle, and music by DJ Milk. Reservations are required and tickets are limited.
G.O.D. is the journey of a man, a detective and an entire city’s quest for peace. The man seeks peace through atonement. The detective, through revenge. The city, through resolution. The film explores whether peace can be attained when you exist in constant chaos – be it in reality, or in your mind.
Thirteen years ago, Addison shot his first film, The Forgotten City; a documentary exploring social issues and the murder of his best friend in Buffalo. His second film, The Experience, was also shot in Buffalo and Ghana, West Africa. Both films won festival awards and were broadcast nationwide. He has since directed and starred in several short films, stage plays, web-series and commercials. Addison has also built a creative partnership with Chadwick Boseman, having worked together with him on numerous films, including the hugely successful, Black Panther.
