The Old First Ward Arts & Heritage Festival is seeking regional artists and musicians to display/perform on Saturday, October 17.
This year’s theme for the festival is ‘Samhain – Between Worlds’ :
Samhain – “Between Worlds” inspired by the ancient Gaelic tradition, a seasonal festival marking the transition from harvest into winter and a time traditionally associated with gathering, remembrance, storytelling, nature, and the changing relationship between light and darkness.
The annual festival, held in the shadow of the grain elevators along Republic Street, has become a highly anticipated tradition in a relatively short period of time.
“The OFW Arts & Heritage Festival is also calling for artists and musicians to create site-specific artwork and host hands-on workshops during the family-friendly celebration of art, music, and Old First Ward culture and heritage.” – Organizers
