Hallwalls is celebrating its 30th Drawing Rally on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Asbury Hall. Switching it up a bit, this drawing rally will feature an all-women lineup of 36 artists. This is a first of its kind, and adds a different approach to the highly regarded event series.
This year’s featured artists are Kari Achatz, Mary Begley, Obsidian Bellis, Kristin Brandt, Emma Brittain, Tricia Butski, Millie Chen, Thea Duskin, Ann Finneran, Erin Finley, Fotini Galanes, Hetta Gardner, Kathy Gaye Shiroki, Barbara Hart, Natalie Hayes, Ashley Johnson, Julie Kirsch, Iris Kirkwood, Marjan Khorramgolkaran, Abby Kylix, Joan Linder, Erin Long, Alicia Malik, Bianca McGraw, Ruby Merritt, Shasti O’Leary Soudant, Cassandra Ott, Alicia Paolucci, Nancy J. Parisi, Jen Ryan, Rachel Shelton, Emma Stanton, DeeDee Stac, Laura Valkwitch, Miggie Wong, and Sara Zak.
“In many ways, this year’s Drawing Rally represents both where Hallwalls has been and where we’re headed,” said Executive Director Parrish Gibbons, who recently completed her first year leading the organization, becoming the first woman to serve in the role in more than 35 years. “For more than fifty years, Hallwalls has been a place where artists can take risks, experiment, and build community. Celebrating the 30th Drawing Rally with an all-women roster honors the remarkable artists shaping our cultural landscape while reflecting the energy and momentum carrying Hallwalls into its next chapter.”

Considered one of Hallwalls most recognized and enduring community events, held once in winter and once in summer, the Drawing Rally has become a sort of institution that benefits the entire art community. The way that the rally works is that there are two 45-minute rounds, where the artist get busy with their works. Then, the drawings are sold through a silent auction that benefits Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the artists and their works, while – hopefully -walking away with a coveted work of art.
