A daycare center, Lighthouse Center, is being proposed for the growing Northland Corridor. Rachelle Sat’chell Robinson is spearheading the plans for the 16,000 square foot facility on 2.1 acres of land located at the northeast corner of Fillmore and Northland avenues.
The plans, prepared by LaBella Associates, will be reviewed by the Planning Board later today. Development will include the one-story facility with 18 care rooms, gymnasium and kitchen, 33-car parking lot, landscaping, rain gardens and an outdoor play area. Lighthouse currently operates a daycare center at 1166 Jefferson Avenue but has outgrown that facility.
