Canalside is one of the more family-friendly destinations in Western New York. With a children’s museum, a solar carousel, and a hot dog stand run by Resurgence Brewing, there’s plenty to see and do.
On Sunday, June 28, from 10am to 1pm, a Children’s Book Festival – presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield – will be held on the Great Lawn at Canalside. Not only will plenty of children’s books be on hand, there will also be all sorts of vendors, local authors, activity tables, lawn games, face painting, etc.
If there was ever a perfect day designed for kids, this would have to be it. Not only will the little ones have a ton of fun, they will also get a chance to peruse some amazing books. After all, the lazy hazy days of summer have always equated to sitting down with a good book, children’s or otherwise.
