2025 marks the third year of the Sunflowers of Solidarity auction/event fundraising effort, which stands to raise funds for struggling Ukrainian people who have been inflicted by the Russian invasion. The community-wide effort is based on two rallying efforts:
- The SOS III Benefit Art Auction, which launches Friday, April 11th at 9AM ET online
- An in-person event at Dnipro Ukrainian Cultural Center on Saturday, April 12 (6-9pm)
“With the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, I have mobilized to spearhead The Sunflowers of Solidarity III Benefit Art Auction for Saturday, April 12, 2025 at Dnipro Ukrainian Cultural Center from 6-9pm,” said Olenka Bodnarskyj.
“The online auction will launch on Friday, April 11th and will culminate in our in-person event on Saturday. One does not need to be present to participate in bidding, it is all done online on Clickbid. People can view a preview of the auction on the site on Thursday. There will also be students’ work from a few Buffalo Public Schools and Phnom Penh, Cambodia, sharing their visions of what PEACE means to them in our Youth PEACE Exhibit.
SOS III Benefit Art Auction launches Friday, April 11th at 9AM ET online and continues through till the end of the in-person event at Dnipro Ukrainian Cultural Center.
“To date, we have 93 artists who have committed to donate an artwork to our auction. Together, we are standing in solidarity for truth, freedom, and democracy. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Humanitarian and Self Defense Funds of the Ukrainian American Freedom Foundation (UAFF). Funds raised will go towards general humanitarian and tactical aid.”
