Buffalo Niagara Land Trust has been hosting an incredible speaker series revolving around environmental issues that affect us all. From Bringing Brown Fields Back To Life to Restoring Mussels To The Niagara River, these are important topics that have huge ramifications in Western New York.
The more that people begin to understand our immediate environs, past, present, and future, the more they will better understand the importance of the issues as they pertain to Buffalo as a recovering Rust Belt City. And once they have a better grasp of the issues, the more power they will wield when making impactful decisions – from who they vote for to what they plant in their gardens.
Speaking of planting, the next installment of Conservation Conversations takes place on Wednesday, April 9 (7pm) at the D’Youville Academic Center, 320 Porter Avenue. The event – Managing Invasive Species, with Dr. Chris Pennuto of WNY PRISM – is free to attend.
