The City is planning a $5 million police training facility at 379 Paderewski Drive in the Broadway Fillmore neighborhood and across from the Central Terminal. The new training facility and shooting range would involve renovations to the former American Legion Adam Plewacki Post No. 799 building that is owned by the City.
The original intent was that the facility would be located on Seneca Street, however, it was determined that it is in the best interests of the City to locate the new facility on Paderewski Drive, rather than Seneca Street. The City intends to bond for $3.9 million to fund the facility. The three-story building was built in 1948 and has 26,396 sq.ft. of space.
