I don’t often write about events months before they occur, but in the cast of TRIMANIA, the situation is warranted. After a seven-year hiatus, TRIMANIA returns, bringing with it a refresher of one of the most highly regarded occasions in the illustrious pantheon of Buffalo events and festivals.
On Saturday, March 29, 2025, Buffalo Arts Studio will be reintroducing its biggest fundraiser. This fundraiser is one of a only a couple of building-wide cultural undertakings that are still held in Buffalo.
The epic event features live bands (jazz, hip-hop, and even an Americana Blues room curated by Sportsmens Americana Music Foundation), DJs, dancers (belly dancing, bollywood, and break dancing), poets, visual artists, and performers that can be found throughout the six-story, sprawling Tri-Main Center, located at 2495 Main Street.
The 575,000 square foot building, which houses a community of thinkers, doers, inventors, activists, and artists spans two city blocks! Now, TRIMANIA will open these expertly curated worlds to the public once again. Come for the performers. Stay for the installations. Partake in a cultural celebration that is unparalleled.
Aptly titled TRIMANIA_REBOOT, the highlights for this year’s event include:
- Exhibitions by Jozef Bajus and Jay Carrier at Buffalo Arts Studio
- Musical performances by Medusa, MYQ Farrow Acoustic Trio, Spud, Diyené, and Ribbit Exhibit
- Live painting by Chuck Tingley, Laura Valkwitch, and Mickey Harmon
- Interactive art making with Madeline Bartley, Karen Eckert, and In-Room Plus!
- Performances by Buffalo Improv House, Buffalo Fashion Runway, and the Glam Vamps
- Micro-galleries curated by community partners including Julia Bottoms, Stitch Buffalo and Hunt Gallery
- Curated sets from SneakVibingMedia
- Interactive digital adventures at Squeaky Wheel Film & Media Art Center, Buffalo Game Space and Fret Zealot
