The Shop Allen Street Block Club and Buffalo Barkery have announced a Halloween Pup Strut on Allen Street. On Saturday, October 26, from 12pm to 4pm, pups and their people are invited to participate in a Halloween inspired event that will see two-legged and four-legged costumed characters competing for “Spookiest Pup,” “Most Creative Costume,” and “Best Pet & Owner Duo.” The event is being sponsored by Buffalo Barkery, which has become a mainstay pet staple on Allen Street.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for this fun and festive event,” said Maggie Lamparelli, co-owner of Buffalo Barkery. “The Halloween Pup Strut is a great opportunity for pet lovers to celebrate the season with their furry friends while supporting local businesses.”
Pet owners are invited to dress their pups in their best Halloween costumes and join the strut down Allen Street, where local businesses will offer treats, special discounts, and Halloween-themed activities.

In addition to the costume contest, the event will feature many photo ops, local vendors, and fall-themed treats for both humans and pups.
Participants can check in at Buffalo Barkery (47 Allen Street) any time between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM, where they will receive a tote bag full of goodies and a map of participating businesses. The cost for registration is a $10 donation to the Shop Allen Street Block Club, which helps support community activities and initiatives along Allen Street & the surrounding neighborhood. Participating businesses will have special offers for attendees, making this a perfect opportunity to explore Allentown’s vibrant local shops.
