Cornerstone Group, Ltd. and partner Community Preservation Partners are wrapping up renovations at Ellicott Park Townhomes, a near East Side affordable housing development. Units are now available for lease. Ellicott Park Townhomes, built in 1967, is a 220-unit family Section 8 (68% or 150 units) affordable housing community located in twenty-one two-story wood frame with brick façade townhouse style buildings located at the southwest corner of William and Hickory streets. The residences are within easy walking distance to downtown.
Work on the one and two-bedroom units included ADA unit conversions, air sealing, door replacements, new flooring throughout, kitchen upgrades (new cabinets, quartz counter tops, Energy Star appliances, new plumbing fixtures), bathroom upgrades (new vanities, quartz countertops, plumbing fixtures and accessories), and new lighting fixtures.
Building system upgrades include waste line replacement, window replacement, brick masonry repairs, and new roofs. Site work includes repaving and restriping the parking lots, a new playground, gazebo, BBQ grills, bike racks, a bocce court and new landscaping.
