Thin Man Brewery is consolidating its breweries and taprooms. On Wednesday, the brewing operation will be closing the doors to its Elmwood Avenue location, to concentrate efforts solely on Chandler Street, where it has two brewing locations. Over the last few years, the business has been steadily growing on Chandler, with added brewing and canning capacity, while rolling out more and more live music events.
In a message to its customers, Thin Man noted that the pandemic irreversibly impacted the business to a point where the Elmwood location was no longer sustainable.
While it’s certainly sad to see Thin Man vacate the Elmwood location (opened in June of 2016), it’s good to know that the decision will ultimately end up strengthening all of the Chandler Street investments that Rocco Termini (Signature Development) and his team have been making in recent years.
If there’s an upside to this development, it’s that the Elmwood location is an impressive turnkey location for a new establishment to move in. Personally, I would love to see a good Chinese sit-down restaurant open. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to find decent Chinese food in the city.
