Buffalo Pride is here, and Pride can mean a lot of different things to people.
In fact, it would be foolish to imagine that one event, (or one event guide) could possibly encompass something for everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. Buffalo Pride Week is an amazing resource for so many events, including the pride parade and the pride festival, the Judge Paul G. Feinman Award Ceremony honoring William H. Gardner, and the inaugural Stratigakos Symposium.
Below are seven celebratory events that might help you celebrate pride in a fun communal way. Happy Pride from Buffalo Rising.

Join Dorothy, Rose, Blanche and Sophia for another definitely-leave-the-kids-at-home night out.

Event: H Boone: TRANS HUMAN
The Buffalo Institute for Contemporary Art
30 Essex Street
June 2 | 7 PM – 10 PM
Free | Information
Artist H Boone creates glitched, biomorphic sculptures by augmenting 3D scans of Buffalo’s trans and gender-nonconforming community. This ongoing project reflects the artist’s desire to combine science fiction, queer world-building, and building trans community through art. The exhibit is on display through July 2, 2023.

Theater: Rent
Stratford Festival
5 Queen St, Stratford, ON
N5A 6V2, Canada
April 8 – October 28 | Evening and matinee performances
$56.95 -$137.42 CAD | Tickets
The hottest ticket of 90’s Broadway is being produced in a flawlessly executed revival on Stratford’s stage. Jonathan Larsen’s musical sets Puccini’s La Boheme in New York’s Lower East Side. The relationship between Angel and Tom Collins is angelic in this production, and Lee Siegel’s I’ll Cover You (reprise) might be the best the song has ever been sung.
