The WNY Trash Mob and The Tool Library are teaming up for to tackle trash and litter as part of the annual Earth Day Clean-Up Challenge, presented by Community Canvases. The challenge takes place between April 21 and April 23 in 2023. Everyone is invited to participate. It’s as easy as picking up trash, taking a photo, and posting to @wnytrashmob on Instagram and/or Facebook. Photos can also be emailed to wnytrashmob@gmail.com.
This Earth Day challenge is the perfect opportunity to get the family and neighbors together to clean up a yard, a street, or a neighborhood. Now that it’s spring, there’s plenty of trash and litter strewn about. It’s as easy as grabbing a grabber, a trash bag, a rake and a broom, and getting busy. People are welcome to clean up by themselves, or with a crew.
For anyone that plans on organizing a team of people to pick up litter, be sure to register the effort with The Great Global Cleanup. The most important thing is that we all get out there and make a difference.
