Larkinville has another food destination, with more to come. The latest culinary addition is Toasted Buffalo, which opened at Millrace Commons, one block east of Larkin Square. Toasted Buffalo joins Paula’s Donuts, Swan Street Diner, Hydraulic Hearth, Chef Darian’s Jamaican Market, Belt Line Brewery, Magic Bear Beer Cellar, Buffalo Distilling Company, Tommyrotter Distillery, Buffalo Brewing Company, Flying Bison Brewing Co., Belt Line Brewery & Kitchen, Compass Run (now open), Kornerstone Café, One Foot Cock, among numerous other food and drink-oriented establishments on the periphery.
Patrons of Toasted Buffalo, a concept that originated in Clarence Center, NY, will be happy to find coffees, teas, smoothies, as well as plenty of types of bread and toast, loaded with superfoods and nutritious ingredients.
The Toasted Buffalo concept is that of Adria Campana, founder of The Buffalo Beauty Foodie. Campana’s goal is to serve healthy, wholesome, and delicious foods, including such delicacies as Italian fruit toast, peanut butter crunch toast… and numerous other toasted variations such as The Cute-cumber, Toasty coconut, The Pesto is Besto, and the Jake (smashed avocado, lemon juice, goat cheese, strawberry slices, balsamic drizzle, almond shavings, and Everything But The Bagel seasoning.)
Toasted Buffalo is a toast-lover’s paradise, not only because of the broad range of toast and toppings, but because of the quality of the bread/toast offerings. Campana’s Pain Rustique bread is from Breadhive Bakery, and her Gluten-Free bread is from Kith & Kin Bakeshop. She sources her Coffee Beans from TrueBean Coffee Company, while her Seasonal Produce is from Greg’s U-Pick Farm Market and CSA. Needless to say that she has hooked up with a number of local quality providers, who are all primely featured at the “café toastery.”
Larkinville continues to impress, and surprise. With new residences, businesses, and amenities. We’re always on the lookout for what’s up next. I can say with confidence that ‘what’s up next’ is just around the corner. Stay tuned for more exciting culinary offerings coming to this ever-morphing district.
Toasted Buffalo is now open in Larkinville at Millrace Commons, 799 Seneca Street. Open daily 7 am – 3 pm.
