The following weekend, Friday, May 13 (11am-8pm) and Saturday, May 14 (9am-3pm)*, The Botanical Gardens will be hosting the beloved and highly anticipated Great Plant Sale, which includes the popular Bulb Sale.
The Gardens’ Horticulture Staff has been preparing for the big day, by amassing annuals, perennials, shrubs, and recycled bulbs from the Spring Flower Exhibit, all of which are being sold at “unbeatable prices.” Many of the varieties are considered hard to find, and are not readily available at other plant shops and nurseries around town.
Aside from the amazing selection of flowers, shrubs, bulbs, etc. there will be a special blend of compost for sale from Tend, Western New York’s only STA Approved compost made right here in Buffalo from local waste. Some of the waste is derived from manure from The Buffalo Zoo, as well as seaweed, fruits, vegetables, bakery waste, flowers, brewery waste, distillery waste, and wood chips.

*Organizers would like to note there will be an early-access Members-Only Night to kick off the sale on May 12 from 2pm to 8pm. This early-access night is for Botanical Gardens Members only and a registered E-ticket is required to attend. Those interested in purchasing a membership can get 15% off now through May 8 as part of a Mother’s Day sale using coupon code: MOM22.
There’s a lot to look forward to at The Botanical Gardens, two weekends in a row. So mark your calendars, and prepare for a fun-filled Mother’s Day, and a glorious gardening season in 2022!
Address: 2655 South Park Ave, Buffalo, NY 14218
