42 North Brewing Company has joined 24 other breweries across the nation, to launch Resolve beer, to benefit the humanitarian effort in the Ukraine. The inspiration behind 42 North’s decision to back the cause (other than the obvious) was due to one of the original brewing team members – Naz Drebot – who is Ukrainian-born. It was Naz who helped to launch the brewery back in 2015. Currently he is back in Ukraine, as head brewer and Co-Founder of 2085 Brewing in Kyiv. Obviously, this Resolve beer is near and dear to everyone’s heart at 42 North, as they pray for Naz (and the resistance), while doing their share to support his home country. The 42 North brew team collaborated with Naz to come up with the recipe for the brew, which is a Kellerbier.
“Everyone is looking for ways to help. We could not just stand by and watch the horrific events in Ukraine without doing something,” stated 42 North Brewing Founder, John Cimperman. “The resolve of the Ukrainian people is an inspiration to all. We hope, in some small way, we can help the great people of Ukraine,” he added.
The proceeds from Resolve will be donated to the World Central Kitchen – an organization that is serving millions of meals to struggling Ukrainians, who have been forced to flee their homes, as well as those who have chosen to remain in place.
Resolve is now available at the 42 North taproom in East Aurora and on-shelves at fine craft beer retailers throughout Western, NY. Thin Man Brewing and Resurgence Brewing Company are also participating in the Resolve brewing effort.
