The Joseph Giambra Legacy Fund

The Joseph Giambra Legacy Fund is fiscally sponsored by Arts Services Inc and all donations will be accepted through ASI’s Pay Pal account to be distributed by the Joseph Giambra Legacy Fund.

Be Part of the Legacy

The Joseph Giambra Legacy Fund is committed to inspiring, entertaining, and integrating arts and culture in our community as modeled by the life of Joey Giambra, often called Buffalo’s Most Beloved Citizen.

Joey Giambra’s contributions are heralded through print media outlets, radio, television, and virtual platforms. From compelling and entertaining anecdotes, compositions, poems, music, and performance, his legacy brings us closer together and reminds us to enjoy the talent and culture of Western New York.

The Delaware Avenue & Allen Street Mural Project

The Fund’s inaugural project is a mural on the corner of Delaware and Allen, with a permanent work created by the artistic genius of Frank Coppola—whose temporary mural (lead image) garnered much acclaim. The proposed permanent mural is designed to capture the wide spectrum of the arts promoted by Joey, the beauty of Western New York’s rich, diverse, and artistic contributions to the world, engage those who see it, and encourage foot traffic and tourism.

August 8—the Grazie, Joey Giambra! Outdoor Music Event

Take the opportunity to say, Grazie, Joey Giambra! while helping further the diverse and artistic culture of Western New York. This music event hosted by Tappo on Chandler Street will feature a short film spotlighting those who collaborated with Joey in the film, music, and the arts industries. The Joe Baudo & Friends Ensemble will perform live, featuring musicians who performed with Joey throughout the years.

Tickets for the live event will be made available by Tappo on Eventbrite, and donations to the Giambra Legacy Fund can be made through Arts Services Inc’s Pay Pal, linked here and at the button below.

Sponsor. Donate. Connect.

With your help we can join together and create opportunities for artists, inspire people to create, seek, and enjoy the arts, and contribute to the distinct community that is Western New York. Our heartfelt thanks to you for paying tribute to a man who shared his talent with abandon, and whose loss is profoundly felt.
